Bin Mats & Cup Holder Components

Bin mat is a term commonly used for a part used to line change trays or storage trays in consoles. There are several sources for molded bin mats, but tools for molding are very expensive and the molding process is slow and costly. Derby can die cut bin mats from appearance finish products like textured EPDM or textured Santoprene. If the application does not mandate 3-dimensional shapes for the bin mat, a die cut part can significantly reduce cost.

Cup holder components are typically injection molded plastic or rubber. Like Derby can do with other automotive components, there are sometimes opportunities to replace molded parts with die cut parts. This not only eliminates very expensive tooling, but it usually dramatically cuts the cost of the cup holder assembly.
